Mobility Training for the baseball player is EXTREMELY important.
Thoracic Mobility (T-Spine) mobility is essential for any overhead thrower. Without proper or adequate Thoracic mobility, the shoulder complex can be compromised and essentially, the player will increase his chances of injury.
On the other side of the equation, throwing speed will suffer as well.
There is no good reason not to practice and improve T-Spine mobility.
Below, I included a video of a basic 3-Point T-Spine Mobility drill that we do with ALL of our players at my gym.
I added a cool aspect to it as well which will really help all players gain or regain that important T-Spine mobility.
